Select a date on any web page and it shows how old you and your family were then, the weekday, the Japanese era year, and how long ago it was. Future dates work too.
CONCEPT
In software, “legacy” has come to mean something outdated. Legacy Tools uses the word in its older sense — something handed down.
Not tools you keep switching between, but tools you can still rely on ten years from now.
Not one large tool that does everything, but small tools that do one job properly — built one at a time.
Because the design never takes your data, the tool can simply stay beside you.
NOTES
A rejected store review, a design decision I was unsure about, a problem I only noticed after publishing — all of it goes up as field notes. Nothing is hidden, so you can check it yourself.
VERIFY, NOT TRUST
Instead of calling it safe, each product publishes its permissions, its network activity and where it stores things. Being able to check that yourself explains more than any wording could.
You can check the traffic yourself: content scripts running in the page show up in the page's DevTools, and the extension's service worker has its own DevTools, opened from chrome://extensions.
