Learn moreWe have started writing on DEV Community. The first post is “After Shipping 8 Chrome Extensions, These Are the 5 Rules I Always Give AI Agents”: the five decisions an AI agent is never left to make on its own when it writes a Chrome extension — adding or broadening permissions, adding network requests, touching unrelated files, pulling in dependencies, and changing how data flows. The posts are written in English.
Read on DEVSite Operator Check is now on the Chrome Web Store. It shows what a page states about its own operator, with an excerpt of where each statement was found. The panel appears only when you press the toolbar icon, never on its own. Company name, address, governing law, jurisdiction and where data is stored and sent are shown as separate lines, each marked Stated, Hint or Not confirmed. It makes no safety judgement.
Learn moreWe have started keeping a development log on note, a Japanese writing platform. The first post is about why the log exists at all. It covers the parts the product pages leave out — whether a tool was worth building, how far AI was used and where it deliberately was not, and what went wrong on the way to release. The articles are written in Japanese.
Read on noteCopy & Prep has been updated to v0.2.0. You can now delete what you collected straight from the toolbar popup: the “×” on a row drops that one item, and “Clear all” at the bottom removes everything after asking you to confirm. Throwing away a stray capture no longer means opening the settings tab. Editing, reordering, tidying up and the output settings still live there.
Learn moreCopy & Prep, a Chrome extension that collects only the passages you pick with the right-click menu across as many pages as you like, then lets you fix the order and the line breaks before copying it all at once, is now available on the Chrome Web Store. Tidying always shows you the before and the after first, and applies nothing until you say so.
Learn moreSafe Mail Link Check, a Chrome extension that shows a confirmation dialog with the real destination before a link opens in Gmail, Outlook on the web, or Yahoo! Mail (Japan), is now available on the Chrome Web Store. It never rewrites links and never opens them for you.
Learn moreFind My Age, a Chrome extension that shows how old you and your family were on a date you select on any web page — with the Japanese era year, the weekday, and how long ago it was — is now available on the Chrome Web Store.
